Crack the Code is a daily deduction puzzle: one secret code for everyone, a new one at midnight, and clues that are always enough to crack it for certain.
The rules
The daily code is three digits, and no digit repeats. You get a card of clue rows: each one is a guess someone already made, with a verdict on how close it came. Rule digits out and enter the code that is left. You have three attempts and no time limit.
What the verdicts mean
Every verdict says how many of the row's digits are in the code, and whether they are in the right place.
None of 6, 8 or 2 is in the code. Three digits gone in one read.
One of 4, 0 and 5 is in the code, but not in the slot shown.
One of 1, 3 and 7 is in the code, in the slot shown. The other two are not in it at all.
Counts are exact: two numbers are correct means exactly two, never "at least two". In the vaults a row can say both at once, like two correct: one in the right place, one in the wrong place. Count first, then placement.
How to solve one
Spend the Nothing is correct rows first, then read the rows against each other. Mark the board as you go: tap a clue digit to cross it off, or hold a keypad digit (right-click, on a computer) to rule it out everywhere. The strategy page has the full method.
Streaks, Hard Code and the Boss
Crack the daily to grow your streak, and share a result card that never gives the code away. On Wednesdays and Sundays the Boss Code arrives: five digits, seven clues, and no more than two attempts. The daily itself never gets harder, and there are 200 more vaults to crack beyond it.

Miss a day and a streak freeze covers it for you. You start with one and earn another for every five wins in a row, holding up to two. Lose a day, or miss one with no freeze left, and your streak is not gone yet: win the next two dailies and it comes back, once every 30 days.
